AASHTO Emerging Mobility Areas
The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) is working to empower State Departments of Transportation with information about emerging transportation technologies, and how they can be “integrated into our multi-modal transportation in ways that improve safety, equity, efficiency, and sustainability for all road users.” AASHTO has four working groups related to new mobility technologies:
- Electric Vehicles
- Connected and Automated Vehicles
- Shared Mobility, Mobility on Demand, and Mobility as a Service
- Unmanned Aerial Systems & Advanced Aerial Mobility
